Zutphen
Fulltime, 40 uur
BS998/2315
You have been around the C-suite long enough to know how things really work. You enjoy the speed, the variety, the people – and you are ready for a position where all that experience comes together in a positive environment.
This position puts you next to the CEO of an international group in the dairy and food value chain, with around 350 employees and activities across the Benelux, Nordics, DACH region and beyond. The group is entering a new growth phase with further acquisitions, internationalisation and more stakeholders. At the same time, it continues to operate in an entrepreneurial, quality-driven and people-focused culture.
To strengthen and support the C-suite in this phase, the company is moving from a traditional Management Assistant set-up to an Executive Assistant position. You will be the one shaping and professionalising this position.
The CEO will be your first and primary focus, while you also support the CFO and CCO on shared priorities. This is a position where you can genuinely make a difference and where your insight and contribution are recognised and valued.
What you will be doing
Below is a short impression of the position – in a conversation I am happy to walk you through the full scope and context.
• Be the CEO’s first point of support: calendars, priorities, inbox and meeting prep – you keep the overview.
• Support the Executive Team (CEO, CFO, CCO) so key decisions, follow-up and routines run smoothly.
• Organise and prepare meetings (Executive Team, Supervisory Board, Foundation Board, Shareholders’ Meeting, Works Council), including clear, action-focused minutes.
• Draft and polish documents, reports and presentations, and guard a professional communication style (Dutch & English).
• Support the CEO and Executive Team with research, overviews and summaries so decisions are well prepared and based on the right information.
• Arrange business travel and itineraries, occasionally joining key (off-site or international) meetings to coordinate on the spot.
• Keep information and files structured, up to date and handled with strict confidentiality.
• Act as a friendly, professional liaison between the Executive Team, the organisation and external stakeholders – while also being a calm guardian of their time and priorities.
• Use digital tools (Office 365, Teams and new (AI) tools) to streamline how the Executive Team works and shares information.
• Support projects and spot opportunities to improve how the Executive Team is organised and works together.
Who you are
You are an experienced Executive Assistant at C-suite / Board level (10+ years) who enjoys being close to the business, keeping things moving and making life easier for the people you support.
You will probably recognise yourself in this:
• You think ahead, spot what is needed and like to solve things before they become a problem.
• You are smart, energetic and analytical, with strong communication skills.
• You combine tact and organisational sensitivity with a hands-on, “let’s get it done” mindset.
• You think and act in an entrepreneurial way and instinctively understand how such an environment works.
Practicalities
• Full-time, permanent position, based in Zutphen.
• One remote day per week, aligned with the CEO’s schedule.
• Compensation and benefits in line with the seniority of this position.
• Selection process includes a practical case and psychological assessment.
Curious whether this could be your next step?
